Your plan price is a monthly minimum that counts toward usage, not a fee on top: you pay the greater of the plan minimum or your metered usage. For example, on Developer $4 of usage is billed $10, and $18 of usage is billed $18.

No. StackBlaze sizes your apps and databases automatically and meters what they use. You never choose CPU, memory or a VM size; the dashboard shows your usage and a forecast instead.

No credit card required. The trial runs for 7 days or until $3 of usage is consumed, whichever comes first, at the same rates as paid plans. When it ends your apps stop; nothing moves to a paid plan unless you choose to upgrade.

Each web app, worker or cron job you deploy is an app. Databases are counted separately against the Databases limit of your plan.

Yes. Set spend alerts and a monthly cap in the dashboard. If you set a hard cap, workloads can be paused when it is reached, and we warn you before that happens.

Yes. Upgrades apply right away. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, so you keep what you paid for until then.

Yes, through Stack Activate at /startups. Self-funded startups can apply for $1,000 in platform credit, and startups backed by a Stack Activate partner VC or accelerator can get up to $200,000. Approved credit is applied automatically and offsets your usage.
