Terms of Service
The rules and conditions that govern your use of StackBlaze.

The Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding legal agreement between you and StackBlaze, Inc. (“StackBlaze”). By creating an account or using the StackBlaze platform, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and agree to these Terms.
If you are using StackBlaze on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Accounts & Access
To use StackBlaze you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date registration information
- Keep your password secure and not share it with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised account access at security@stackblaze.com
- Not create accounts for the purpose of circumventing usage limits or bans
- Not impersonate any person or entity
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken by team members you invite.
Acceptable Use
You may use StackBlaze only for lawful purposes. You must not use the platform to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Upload or transmit malware, spyware, or any malicious code
- Launch denial-of-service attacks or probe for vulnerabilities in third-party systems without authorisation
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate open mail relays
- Mine cryptocurrency without explicit written approval
- Store or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or other illegal content
- Scrape StackBlaze services using automated tools beyond what our API allows
- Attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code from StackBlaze's proprietary software
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice, depending on severity.
Content & Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain all ownership rights to code, data, and content you deploy on StackBlaze (“Customer Content”). You grant StackBlaze a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely to provide the service.
StackBlaze IP
StackBlaze and its licensors retain all rights to the platform, dashboard, APIs, and documentation. These Terms do not grant you any rights in StackBlaze's intellectual property beyond the right to use the service as described here.
Feedback
If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant StackBlaze a royalty-free, perpetual licence to use them without obligation or compensation to you.
Billing & Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Usage-based charges (bandwidth, compute overages) are billed in arrears at the end of each billing period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details you authorise recurring charges
- All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes
- Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated to the day
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- We do not offer prorated refunds for early cancellation, you retain access until the end of the paid period
- If payment fails, we will retry for 7 days before suspending your account
Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the account settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
StackBlaze may suspend or terminate your account for any of the following reasons:
- Violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Non-payment of fees
- Extended inactivity on free plans (we will give 30 days' notice)
- Legal requirements or court orders
Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data. After that period, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers & Warranties
We publish uptime metrics and commit to the SLAs described in your plan. Hobby plan users are not entitled to SLA credits.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackBlaze shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the total fees you paid to StackBlaze in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StackBlaze, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at legal@stackblaze.com. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in San Francisco, California.
You waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing us at legal@stackblaze.com.
